hey guys ,
any of you guys using / ever used rebirth ... ? just wanted to know what exactly this software can do and how could i use it effectively with reason ?

I used it back in 1953 
No, seriously - this is a double roland tb 303 synth, and a 909 and 808 rhythm machine.
You can easily use it with reason, via rewire. I really cant tell the sound quality of it, since it has been years since I've last used it.
Its good for those typical goa leads. And some ppl use it to create a bass.

Not bad at all...used it some years ago and i really liked the sound quality and the way the drums and the bass sound toghether...kind of vey tight!Moreover you can download tones of drum banks for whatever music style you want and most of them sound nice.
But even though it's a really good emulation of the TB and 909/808 , i find it very difficult to use and to program....a pain in the ass really..let alone its sound should be outdated..haven't used it for some time though so i may be talking bullshit

If u need and archetypal acid-synth, get it... It's a great source for 909-808 drums too, but you'll have to process them in another sequencer, just like the 303-lines, but it sounds enough like the real thing and used in combination with other things it is a very good creative tool, but the 303-909-808 sound is done to death... Everybody will recognise it, and it will sound seriously dated unless u do something radically different with it... But i doubt that there still are things that haven't been done with a 303... |
