Heya.
Can somone help me get the hang of this kick ass software synth-drumm machine?
I understood most of the controls but didn't get the pattern and looping editing yet.
Please help me.
P.s: How do i program the Synths? do i ahve to use an external midi device?!?! :( |

You program the synths using the step sequencer (I think that's the name).
I don't remember much but there should be a step button that advances from 1 to 16 and back to 1 and 16 and so on...
These are 18 note lengths I think. Anyway, you click the note you want to be on this step (turn on the red light).
For example you can do something like this:
1 C5
2 C5
3 C5
4 D#5
5-8 empty
9 C5
10 C5
11 C5
12 A#4
13-16 empty
And get a nice groove :-)
In the left side there are patterns for each machine. You can program (A-B-C-D * 16..) 64 different patterns for each machine.
Same thing for the drum-machines, just you program drums and not notes.
PS: I'm not sure everything I wrote here is correct, I used this thing last time a year ago and didn't even complete a single song.

You don't see it,
You see every note seperatly...
For example you see your first note, click the step button, see the next note.
Get it? |

O.K...
I think that Rebirth is thr best software of all time.
It has top-notch filters, and one-when understood the concept of the program-can do pro acid echno music.
Even with Rebirth alone (without Rewire) you can do pro stuff.
Take for example the Celtic Sons-Their pumping techno is a hit in Germany.
They have sests in the U-Club.
