Reason is easy also, as soon as you learn the basics (it took me only 5 minutes to learn the basics).
Reason is also much more professional and useful. |

Definitley download the demos from the developers. Try them out for awhile or as long as you can. Base your choice on what you feel you can understand the best. Best of luck.

As you said there is a new synth that can produce more "trancy" sounds and noises and a new advanced sampler did not really figure it out yet, I prefer the old one.
The reffil cds you get with the programme are 1:the reason soundbank which is exactly the same with the first and 2: the Orkester sound bank with sounds like brass and strings e.t.c.
Other new things in Reason 2 is the detachable sequencer window (very handy only if you have dual screen set up)
There are more minor changes on the sequencer do not remember them now.

Definetely it is the best software package you will find at this price range. Also get Recycle and fiddle around with your loops.

Reason2 offers a nice selection of samplers drumbox and synths but the sounds could be more wide, pretty cheesy sometimes...

reason 2 has an improved sampler (NN-XT), which is really needed because the NN-19 SUCKS BIGTIME!
+ The Maelstrom - A Granular Wavetable synth. Really good for atmos. + noises, Pads And stuff.
worth it.
oh, the sequencer should be a hell lot better.
looks like a nice choise.
