Hey all!
I am a new Reason user and am having a bit of trouble creating good sounding Goa patches (bass, leads, fx, etc...) with the subtractor. Could anyone direct me to where I could find some good patches for example?

hello, i'm sorry to be rude ... but
what do you mean "goa specific" ?
you want "Goa" to be written on the patch name ?
simply rename it from <filename>.rex to Goa-<filename>.rex.
have you listened to them ?

I mean patches that were created to be used specifically in goa songs. I'm not very good at programming my own patches and I wanted to see some examples.
There is no need to be rude. I don't just want to rename files.

sorry you did take my words as rude, but anyhow,
there's no "standard" goa sound.
[a.f.a.i.k, and i could be wronga]
you simply can use anything that you feel suits your creation.anything:
toilet niagara in different pitches will do.
folding paper sound - great - no rules.
"just" make it all sound pleasant, consistent and make the mix correctly.
one simple way of turing given patch to something else is ... to put it through an effect.

just try any patch that has a nice beat and flow
and then open rebirth and play around with it to get your kind of goa feel happening.. |
