REASON MATRIX as SEQUENCER connected in REWIRE with CUBASE SX

i want to know if possible to connect for example a matrix of reason in rewire with cubase sx . so i mean working with reason just as sequencer and sounds coming out from cubase sx from a vst for example or from a synth like virus c but making just the sequence in reason and sound coming out from vsts or virus.....
i would stay really happy if someone can help me with this. i want to see if this is possible...

I have tryed to do it, but i couldn't fire it out either.Anyway whats the point in using matrix as a sequencer when the cubase it self is a sequencer.Anyway i think matrix from reason is working internaly so you can't pass the midi impulses to some vst in cubase. On the other hand when you make new midi track there is an input that you can select to be from reason matrix but when you connect it to some vst and play the matrix ... nothing comes out...

Just a suggestion...
you could sequence in Reason through Matrix.. exports as a Midi file and import in Cubase .. and load the VST on that Midi track |

hey Duniya...
I had de simmilar post in the propellerhead forum...
coz I wanna the same gritty machine feel but the sound from the VSTi or an outboard synth like the VIRUS C..(lucky U)..
will let u know as soon as I get to know or figure it out...
a killer set u played in B'bay

Always wanted this to work...never found a way!
Basically Reason does not have midi out...
What is said above works best...export as midi files and import in Cubase. Of course this means you can't change notes on the fly in the matrix.
Would be great if it worked though!! |
