Amazing Amazing user interface !!! I didn't really tested the sound but it seems really not bad.
And you might think i'm stupid to focus on the graphics but to make good sounds you need to spend a lot of time on a software and it's so good to spend lot of time when your eyes are amazed.
Every details are incredible. Just go to "toggle rear/front view" and move a cable!!! wooooooooow...i told you...every details count.
And the soft is damn fast...they include ASIO drivers..not like Reaktor where you need to have an asio driver for your card.
Mr Waves Reaktor...please try to do the same interface...because it would be really great to have the same comfort while using ur soft.
And the Reason is a very good way to understand how works the connections between hardware FX, Synth and Mixtable...just for that the soft desserves applauses. Even if after 1 week i think the sound sux this soft would have brought me lot.
PS: I don't work to Propellerhead nor have shares from them ;) |

yes I played with both Orion and Reason and there's no doubt that Reason sounds so much better....
hey Max, press TAB in reason, you'll see the back rear of it.. isn't that amazing?!
can't wait to work on it more professionaly.. actually I really think it's low cost worth it this time. ($399). but I'll sattle with the cracked ver. :P
well if I was doing music for a living it was different.. |

Yeah that's what i said...moving a cable on the rear side is amazing.
And the Substractor synth is just perfect for basses. But i admit Reaktor can produce much better sounds...but boring interface. |

one of the things that i find sad about progs like reality is that they try and copy exactly what a hardware (rackmount) interface is like: limitations and all. I wish people would come up with more innovative and intuitive user interfaces that take advantage of the potential of computers.. like for example, the "waves" paragraphic eq plugin vs. traditional knob/slider based parametric / graphic eq's ... there is a lot that can be done to make more useable interfaces that allow for more of a "visual" corresponsdence with the audio produced than just "virtual" knobs and sliders.... |
