I recently tested Reason again(last test was R3) after trying it some years ago.
The main reason(no phun intended) was the ability to resample anything with just one click.

After trying the demo I was convinced of its workflow, its like playing a game for me, just fun to use and the SSL mixer behaves really nice.

I hope that they create a Rack extension for the Line 6 Podfarm Platinum 2 effects !

My opinion about Rack extensions : very interesting !           http://facebook.com/ansolas

It's kinda funny that they're basically making the new reason to be similar to any other DAW, but using their own proprietary format for the plugs... While I think it's a good step for Propellerheads, I fear it's too little too late.           An Eagle may soar, but Weasels don't get sucked into jet engines.

>similar to any other DAW,
The actually dont do it similar but better, eg they allow full undo, even of knob tweaks!

i was using reason 1 in 2000 right after rebirth and before cubase sx. i have some really old school tracks there, maybe will try the new reason to check the new features and also listen to some of my really old stuff hopefully those projects can be loaded in the new version.

Looks sick! Thanks for posting this info. This is what us Reason users have always wanted...third party synthesizers!!! And its free too. Gotta Love Propellerhead, theyre taking the music production world over.

**Any idea when the release date of the update is? Just hope the Rack Extensions are cheap =)           www.soundcloud.com/magnosis
