I agree with You! When the quality of the sound is not important You can make good vibes even on a amiga class computer or even in ms-dos.

Does anyone make full tracks in reason anyway?

i've only used it to make sounds, and then bounce them out.           www.myspace.com/psypox

One of the tracks on the upcoming OOOD album was written entirely in Reason 2.5, and mixed using Rewire in SX. I've posted more details and a screenshot on Psynews.net, but I can't get the link right now as I'm at work. I think I ended up with over 45 Rewire channels though. Reason sounds ok if you don't use its mixer.           Mastering - http://mastering.OOOD.net :: www.is.gd/mastering

one of my Reason tracks was released on Deja Vu Records (early 2005). It was fully made and mixed in Reason 2.0 (in the end of 2003), and it was last track i made in that software. After i finished that track i installed Cubase SX 2 =)

ok its been a lot of theory now lets go to the practice....Like OOOD said .. i knew a lot of tracks made fully on reason even me i have done at the actual time i use more reason than cubase , and i ll check some of the url and links to post them here to have a view and so u can see it could aproximetly be a master sound. Now if anyon has done things with reaosn and beleive that on that work the bassline was ok .. please pst the patch and machine for thoos who dont beleieve...

@makus..

I dont like reason so much, because you have more with cubase or logic..i think..so..
because the lot vst´s..

BUT the trick is if u just like it or not..!!

Basslines with subtractor are good rollin´ones..!!:znaika:

I know the track, though didn't know the bass was done in subtraktor. I like Reason's management. I used this software since 2000 when the first version was released, working in it for almost 4 years. But last 2 and a half years i havn't synthesized any sound from Reason engine. Even noise =)
I think VST products are BETTER.

Reason is amazing for Music thats all...Sequencer wise that is..the sequencer kicks my ass..your ass...gods ass...GO JEBUS!....but seriously.

Reason has an amaing sequencer...the reddrum is nice..but the synths r MEH...what I was doing was making all my synths in other sequencers with vst and sampling em in reason...sounds like abitch..it kinda was..but now i am trying to get into ableton for all...but reason has still played a big part in my life !

I have made a lot of tracks in Reason alone. But I think the synths mainly lacks the "fatness" that other software/hardware synths catches (haven't tried Reason 3 though).

But what I REALLY like about Reason is it's interface! It's very simple to grasp and you can instantly focus on making music...
