Propellerheads Reason was a big hit, will version 2 take it one stage further? It goes on sale now - you decide...
New Features in Reason 2.0 include:
Malström Graintable Synthesizer: A new invention from Propellerheads that combines granular synthesis with wavetable synthesis. Graintables are extremely flexible and expressive sound sources, which allow for comprehensive manipulation. This includes being able to move through a sound by controlling the movement with real-time controllers, velocity, modulators and finding exciting new possibilities by controlling the spectral harmonics of the Graintable.
NN-XT Advanced Sampler: A new powerhouse sampler, the NN-XT is packed with useful features to build stunningly realistic instrument patches.
Where the existing NN-19 is a "fast-track" sampler, the new NN-XT is for more demanding sampling tasks. Powerful features include automatic pitch detection and mapping of samples, graphical zone editing, loop editing,layering plus zone velocity switching, and crossfading.
Enhanced sequencer features: In Reason 2.0, the main sequencer breaks free from the rack and can expand fully across the screen or be resized and moved, even to a second monitor. New tools also make this already flexible sequencer, even more flexible. These include Zoom, Line and Eraser tools making day to day work straight forward in an uncluttered environment.
And it's not just Malström and the NN-XT that feature tempo-syncable LFO's. All existing devices in Reason now also have this feature locking LFO's tightly to the sequencer.
The Orkester NN-XT Sound Library: Reason 2.0 of course also comes with plenty of patch and library material for the two new instrument devices. And if that isn't enough an extensive orchestral ReFill, created exclusively for the NN-XT, is also included. The Orkester NN-XT Sound Library spans from single woodwinds to complete string sections, and covers all essential playing styles.
New OS support:
Reason 2.0 fully supports both Windows XP and Mac OS X. Mac OS X support include Core Audio, Aqua GUI and any MIDI interfaces recognized by Mac OS X.
Pricing and Availability:
Reason 2.0 is now available in the UK for £299.00. Existing registered users can upgrade for £65.00 through Midiman UK.
Users who purchased Reason 1.0 after March 1st 2002 can upgrade to V2.0 free of charge - However, they must provide proof of purchase.
This major upgrade comes on 3 CD's and has been tested by 3000 registered users in a special compatibility testing program.

There are some ppl that buying it for some reason, mostly pro's, and ppl who want to earn momey from the product. Anyways i heard that the cracked version i already out. Though not in Kazaa

so you're saying that everyone who have adsl should d/l it? I also have adsl and also downloaded it - but I'm no musician and I don't earn money from it. even tho, bragging with your fancy adsl and spreading it in public like this is just pathetic.
I don't know you personally, and how your music making is, but I hope if you'll ever release an album, it'll all be spreaded on the net and you won't see a cent out of it. just the same way you spread Reason to everyone here.

First thing, I won't earn money if I tell you
the link to download it.
If you want to buy it so badly, go and buy it,
300$. I just think that it's wrong to take
300$ for a little music making software!
Second thing, If I will ever publish a CD it
won't be because of the money, it will be only
because I want people to hear my music at
home and not only at parties!
Last thing, I think that you're pathetic
because you make such a big deal out of it
when you are doing the same. I wanted to
tell you the site where you can download it, but
now I won't tell you anything becaue of your
reaction to my opinion about downloading!
I hope that you all are happy now because I
won't tell you the link, and I will let you buy
it as you wanted from the start!!!

look Modulization, the point here isn't to blame you for using warez. many of the ppl here use it here and then, even myself. the point is that this forum isn't a place to announce and encourage it.
this thread is about "Reason on sale now" if you havn't noticed. and only someone like you who don't have any slightest dignity and respect to others would post something like 'haha! I downloaded it cause I have adsl. anyone want a link?"
adsl has became cheaper than dial up in the last years and many of us have it too. many of us also downloaded it just like you did - but you don't see them all laughing and showing off about it. why? because they have respect.
