hi ive seen reason 2.5 and i think its an incredible music production software.. i think whit a good midi keyboard and the reason 2.5 its all you need to make profesional music..
maybe whit cubase too.
what do you think???

not mabye but for sure u`ll need cubase or logic to make pro-music.

I don't use anything else but Reason. There is more to it than meets the eye. Although it's taken me a while to understand it, I can pretty much do anything I want in it! |

the sound output of cubase/logic its lot better than the reason, also the piano roll is better and of course the plugins! in reason you are very limited , you got only the propellerheads EQ, Compressor and so on..
dont forget the VSTinstuments which gives you variety of sounds so your tracks sounds richer with different types of synth and oscilators.
use reason but learn more about cubase/logic it will take your creation 1 step forwards! |

Reason can easily produce (or immitate very closely) MOST of the available VSTi synth sounds... just a few are impossible to get out of it.
You dont believe? you think Reason's sounds are limited? Its a mistake.. just now, after more then year of HARD ASS work with Reason i can hear what synth sounds it can manage.

I agree with you Anders, reason is a bit limited, but the main problem is its sound.
I use cubase sx combined with reason, and i think it works very well, to create beats and synths in cubase, and some chords or techno-ish loops in reason |

the sound can always be fixed with other soft/hardwares... whats still bothering me is the lack of external units such as vst
