hello guys ,
i would just like to know , im using the malstrom synth for a lead line , which directly does into a digital delay unit and then into the mixer .. now the delay sounds fine ... but i would like to eq the delay after it has been processed by the delay , without affecting the main signal ...
i mean can i eq the delayed signal , so that the high / low freqs get damped or sumthin like that ? because the reason delay unit dosent have a damping option ...
i am facing this problem when using the delay as an isert effect ... when im using the delay as a send effect , i know how to eq the delay returns ...
i hope i made my self clear ...
hope to hear from you soon ! |

well... with the sends would be the easy solution... And why would you want to use delay as an insert? You can sidechain it... so the outs from the delay enter another channel, i don't think delays are made to be sidechainable, but maybe theres a way around... You can cut the dry signal, record the delay in audio, disable the live delay and eq the recorded delay line....
But i really think you'd better use a send/return principle... |

Well, not much to say, either merge 4 signals into 1, or split 1 signal into 4. Once you've split up a signal, you can send the signals to different boxes, and then mixing it either in another merger/splitter or at the mixer.
Play around with it, there are a lot of posibilities

Yeah Phobium is right. I think this is what you want. Synth output goes into Delay Inputs. Now, Delay outputs go into the Spider Splitter Ins (2 total for L and R). For L and R respectively, you got 4 outputs in the spider. So now take 2 of the 4, and route them to one mixer channel. This will be your dry channel. Now, send the other 2, into a Filter or any chain of FX units. Now at the end of this chain, bring the outputs to a second channel. This is your wet channel. Now the levels of both channels will control how pronounced this effect will be. Good luck! |
