Just wanted to share a great plugin for Reaper, that allows to assign MIDI CC to on-track automation envelopes. With this one you can control any of your digital hardware the same way as VST plug-ins.

I believe we are telepaths, I was trying to automate my nordrack in reaper right at the moment. How do you setup your tracks with external synth on reaper ?

I've tried 2 different ways :

1 - By using reainsert I can send midi and receive audio from my soundcard input on the same channel, but when I hit record, the only thing that is recorded is the midi signal. Do I have to setup as second channel for audio recording only or is there a more 'elegant' way of doing this ?

2 - I create 2 tracks, one with midi and the second one with audio. This way it works.

As I understand it, the JS plug in you mentionned allows to send CC to an external synth. Well that's funny because you don't need a plugin to do that in most daws. I guess it's due to Reaper's very adaptative structure.
