Hello people of earth, I hope you guys are doing well, I have a little question, that maybe you could help me with! I was working with cubase! but im trying to change to Reaper from cockos, maybe someone has heard of it ( its awesome), everything works awesome, but the only thing missing here, its quadrafuzz,I really use this plugin alot! especially in my basses or it helps me get a little more body to my sounds . But it does not work in Reaper, so im looking for a replacement plugin, maybe you know something that could replace the enigmatic quadrafuzz! anyways thanks in advance!!!! have a great day!!

From what I've seen, whenever I tried to use Quadrafuzz in any other DAW (actually just Ohmstudio), it hasn't worked, it seems to be a Cubase exclusive thing. Normally a message pops up that says "Nuendo (whatever type) is required for this plugin" Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Best of luck, man.           There is no good, there is no evil, there is only flesh

As far as I know, Quadrafuzz has indeed become a Cubase exclusive plugin a few years ago.
You may want to look for the old version of it (v.1.01) that might work for you. At least it works in Live.

So what other plug, you guys use, instead of the quadraffuz? any plug-in you could recommend?

about fabfilter, there's plenty of saturation/distortion modes to choose from there. Which ones you like best for bass?

On topic: tried a new plug from crysonic newb. It's not for saturation but it's cool to bring out the sub harmonics.

Some of the so called 'mastering' presets can add a nice dimension to your bass. The other ones are too 'crazy' to make for a good standard bass imo.
Just make your own presets by adding some filter band and playing around with the amp envelope and different algorhythms. I'm sure something nice will come up

I still love quadrafuzz...
but also use a lot fab saturn. i like the gentle saturiation for basses mainly and is good also warm tape. its fit nice with some moogish basses but warm tape not for all types.
but all of this plugs its just to give a nice taste, patch must be great from start to use this.
i use saturn also in leads and some sounds.

having the same problem, coz i'm on mac/intel and quadrafuzz isn't UB and supported anymore, so i'm able to open it via the VST Bridge which is a pain in the ass...

after some research on Craig Anderton, i saw in one of his posts somewhere he considers Izotope Trash the closest plugin to Qfuzz... i feel it also, but clearer too somehow.

You can also try Ohmicide or Predatohm from Ohmforce           http://darkelf.gr
