Hi there, I have a question concerning realtime processing of audio inputs... is it possible? For instance, can I "attach" a bunch of plugins to an audio input of my card and get the audio processed in realtime while I'm running Cubase? Is there any specialized software for that or maybe it can be done directly in Cubase? Actually, what I need is a way to process the output of software synths/samplers that don't have direct-x/VST support (Reality, Giga, etc), it's really frustrating to record their output to WAV and process it afterwards in Cubase to see if it fits in the mix or not.. so without realtime audio routing/processing such software is hardly usable.. I've found a driver called "Virtual Audio Cable" that allows flexible routing of audio-outputs to inputs of other programs, but it does not support plugin processing...
Thanx in advance,
Peace. |

You can't process an input of your card with direct x plugins...it's a dream i already have but it's impossible since the computers are not enough powerfull to sample input & process effects in the sample in real time.

it should work IF you can open an AUX track , feed it with you fav plug-ins and the signal , and rout the aux to an audio channel BUT i'm not sure you can do it with cubase . . . BTW: real time processing and getting signals can work by the CPU and its working now days but you get the latency effect because it use the time to convert it from analog to digital and from digital(maybe with effect ) back to analog "vibrations"
about DIRECT X shit i dont have a cluw>> never used it ,,never will :) anyway good luck |
