Buenas folks!!!
I´ve got a doubt about this option when i export a wav from cubase sx 2.1....
When i enabled it, i´ve got more quality on the wav? I don´t have a decent hardware to listen the diference, but in a spectrum analiser, it´s seen to be the same thing...
Any of you guys, can talk about this feature?
Thanksss!!!

I think is not the synths because those are recorded live in cubase in record mode,(maybe some ppl do record all it the end if you have loads of ins and outs but i just record these on-the-fly...)
I think exporting in real time is only needed if you are using hardware processors in sends such as a reverb in an aux channel,
because its an external sound coming live in analog the program cannot "look ahead" and "guess" whats the sounds gonna be like. For this you really need the export in real time for the reverb/FX to be recorded with the mix.
All other processors, work internally and its all digital so it shouldn´t really make a difference... |

i tell you something- i have a luna card and when i'm using the onboard plugins of the luna for some reason i can't export without the real-time export function- regular export will do clicks in the mixdown- but in all the other cases i prefer the regular export- i think it's more precise computer calculations then playing the mix into a file- not major differences though in the sound quality , if any-
one disadvantage in the real-time export- that's it's more slow- the time playing is the exporting time-
'flou' had a logical point too,

I usually have to use the real time export option even with no external gear. Without it selected I get occasional glitches in the ouput |

Quality should be absolutely identical in most cases. Realtime export is intended for use when bouncing down external instruments, or when using those very few badly-written plugins which cannot bounce down offline. Personally I never use it.
