It does damn near anything, it can be and often is massively difficult to use unless you actually buy it and read the manual. That said, its potential is pretty close to unlimited as far as what you can make and how you can use it.

do u know synthedit? it does the same, and u can make stand alone VST instruments of your resulting synths/effects. and it's FREEEEEEEEE

U can do much with synthedit, and u can do much with reaktor, but they are different progs.

Both are good on they own

BTW Fm Spiralator v.0.3.2 built 2 is coming next days

I wish they had this Synth Edit for Mac.. Seems to be many great plugs.

I do have Reaktor.. great tool. A very powerful part of the arsenal.
