this might be a simple one - make sure all links are linked to the outputs, L and R, sometimes require brackets before?

what is that master macro doing?
It is connected up somehow - and yet there are no incoming or outgoing audio signals - which it must be receiving through midi.
Could it be getting the midi and preventing the synth getting it somehow? The screenshot only shows that Carbon 2 is connected to the audio outs - it doesn't show that the midi that Reaktor is receiving is ever making it in to Carbon 2.
I don't have carbon 2 so I couldn't be certain whether it should be there or not. However, just because Reaktor is receiving midi, it doesn't follow that the synth will!

that is very odd. the master instrument is just a master volume control, that wouldnt be the problem, you could even delete it if you wanted.
if you see the the midi in led blinking then the problem almost has to be that carbon 2 and the midi track are on different channels. click on the box to the right of the eye in that picture, you will see what channel carbon is on. then make sure the midi track that your sending midi to reaktor in sx is on the same channel. sometimes that will be a problem if you insert a second track in sx, it will default to midi channel 2 but carbon will still be trying to receive midi on 1. |

also if you didn't know, the reason for the midi channel thing like that is you could copy carbon 3 times and wire the other 3 copies to audio out 3-8 and control 4 synths on 4 different midi channels with just one instance of the vsti loaded. cpu is about the same but it uses alot less memory if your going to use a bunch of reaktor synths. |
