Two or three things to do before book flights, take vacations and so on...
Check who is the organiser, is it the first edition of the festival? Previous edition were good? If not have they already made many little party? Were they good?
Go see if artists booked are effectively booked...
Try to know if they have all legal permissions, security, sanitary, etc etc
If one of those points aren't right, ask to the organiser if they don't give good answers, DON'T GO TO THAT FESTIVAL!
Some simple rules to enjoy better festivals and to let poeple who knows what they do continuing doing good and stop freaks-wannabe from ruining the psy trance scene.

100% true, and verry importent issue!
i'm totally with you with this matter!
take a flight to another country cost a lot + all the tickets and major costs...
if the festival cancel or look like shit ,
after all this huge effort it's horrible filling!

Yeah yeah.....
Just post a thread on your festival and do as all others does....
this is something about all bad situations people have had this year... many festival cancelled, due to permissions lack.... or to bad organisation
Is a very important thread, not about self promotion, but know where you spend your money and who you support.

ye i agree with u man this summer was really "katastrof" with all those festivals i also felt it on my skin in austria when i was need to play there...and now i heard from good friends what happend to them in portugal on this shamanik thing damn its become ugly...
lets hope next summer and in the future at all this scene will be more profesional! |
