I'm not sure how many psy artists do this but I have found the best way to make a full sounding bass is to do a resampling method.
Generally what I do is bounce a full Saw wave tone with some over the top EQ adjustments with any other relevant FX within the chain. After that I pull it in a new sampler channel, loop it and then worry about the envilope at this point.

As the actual tonal generation was concentrated with the previous bounce you can then worry about the mix & dynamics in this chain.
It also give a more original saw bass then just a plugin by it's self. Some people might think that's is too much work but remember every little bit makes a difference.
Gives you bass more character!

All thoughts and criticism welcome!            E-KLIPSE Trance Productions

Hi,
i am also into resampling since I can know.

Some time ago I resampled everything when using the MV8000 and Hardware only.

When I work with a DAW I use 'Devine Machine OSR2'
