PSYLON - comprises of two Artists / DJ's, namely Raphael Saldanha (Ind) and Danny Saigal (Aus).
DANNY was immersed into the psychedelic sound way back in '94 frequently attending the global village psy raves at the Melbourne docklands and the infamous Earthcore festivals all over Australia. As a musician, producer and dj, danny has grown to incorporate drum 'n' bass, techno and minimal as the mainstay of his sets in Australia, and Dubai. Playing the Dj circuit in Australia and Dubai for clubs like Scubar, The Laundry, Trilogy, Lotus One, Touch and Submarine, as well as co-founding STATIC Events. Recently Danny has become re-aquainted with the psychedelic movement through fellow DJ Raphael. Danny is a consumate vinyl junkie and subscribes to the old school style of mixing tracks which in-corporates dynamic techniques to cut, chop, splice, scratch, filter and equalize sounds.
RAPHAEL found a strange connection with twisted sounds in '97 when he was introduced to psy trance and immediately fell in love with it. Ever-since then he has been collecting music as a hobby it was only when he came to Dubai in 2001 and met Ed & Dan, he found what he was looking for... to be a DJ. He picked up all the skills and went on to Goa where he had the privilege of playing at 9bar, Primrose and Shiva valley, and he is now back to give u a dose of what he has been collecting and listening to all these years!!
For this event, you will be witness something a little different from what you're used to... Psychedelic played on vinyls and turntables!!
Expect the PSYLON sound to be Demented, Dark and Twisted - with influences ranging from Para Halu, Naked Tourist, Kindzaza, Psychoz and Psykovski.
