RAVELATIONS 'PRODIGY'
It is our goal to get the people of Dubai to embrace the music, the energy and the feeling of togetherness that comes with the Psychedelic Culture.
But most importantly we would like the people of Dubai to recognize the local DJ’s in this genre of music and give them a chance to grow...
In the coming months we are looking forward to hosting a DJ competition to find the RAVELATION PRODIGY!

Event Info:
GROUP A - 11th July 2008
GROUP B - 18th July 2008
2 Contestants from each group will be selected to go into the Finals based on votes from that day ONLY.
Criteria - 80% Crowd Votes and 20% Judges Votes
FINALS - 25th July 2008
The Panel of Judges, including an international guest DJ, will vote to decide on the RAVELATIONS PRODIGY!
Event Starts at 8 p.m.

TERMS & CONDITIONS
To be eligible for entry to this competition you must read and agree to the Terms and Conditions as stated below.
1. Entrants must be 21 years and over to enter.
2. Entrants must be a resident of the U.A.E and be able to provide proof of residency.
3. Entrants must perform individually – No teams permitted.
4. Use of Laptop’s are strictly NOT permitted.
5. DJ’s enter by recording a 60 minute Demo on a CD. Forward to:

or
RAVELATIONS, P.O Box 50610, Dubai, U.A.E along with your NAME, AGE, MAILING ADDRESS, EMAIL ADDRESS, CONTACT PHONE NUMBER and PASSPORT COPY (with visa page) on the Official Entry Form - Attached Below.
6. All submissions should include the names of all Tracks, along with the Name of the Artist and if possible the Record Label.
7. An entry fee of Dhs 200 is payable for processing fees - Only selected contestans
8. Any Demo’s received later than 30th June 2008 will not be accepted.
9. All entrants should be available to play if requested to do so prior to final selection of competitors.
10. All contestants must have their own CD’s and Headphones.
11. Selected contestants will be notified by July 4th 2008 and the public will be notified simultaneously.
12. Contestants are required to play a 30 – 45 min set on the day.
13. All contestants selected to play are expected to be available on July 11th, July 18th and July 25th 2008.
14. Contestants in each group will be chosen randomly by a draw.
15. The top 2 contestants (based on crowd votes) from each group will play in the final on July 25th 2008. Group A will play on July 11th 2008 and Group B will play on July 18th 2008 at Club Touch, Four Points Sheraton.
16. No set times will booked in advance, all contestants must arrive by 6pm on the night to allow enough time for set-up and sound check. Event starts at 8pm and ends at 3am, set times allocated at the beginning of each night.
17. The Finals will be judged by a panel of judges, including an international guest DJ, based on set criteria.
18. Criteria for Final Judging - Tricks and Skills, Track Selection, Performance, Crowd Response & Originality.
19. RAVELATIONS management reserve the right to check CDs, Hardware and any other materials used by contestants. Any contestants deemed to have violated the Terms & Conditions will be disqualified immediately.
20. In the event of a stoppage the following rules will apply:
• If the stoppage is due to equipment failure of organizer and due to no fault of the competitor then the competitor will be allowed to perform the set in its entirety again.
• If the stoppage is due to equipment failure due to the fault of the competitor or his/her own equipment, then the competitor will not be allowed to redo his/her set.
21. The Judges decisions are final, no exceptions will be made.
22. It is necessary that all competitors respect each other and all technical equipment on stage at the event, as well as the event's sponsors and any of the advertising material that is present on site, such as banner's, brochures, poster's etc.
23. Should a competitor damage any technical or personal items owned by:
• other competitors
• the sponsors
• the venue
• hire companies
• Or anyone associated with the organizing and/or running of the event
They MUST replace or fix the item immediately at the offenders sole expense.
24. By entering the competition as a contestant you agree to all of the above terms and conditions.

RAVELATIONS RESERVES THE RIGHTS TO AMEND THE RULES AND REGULATIONS STATED ABOVE WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE |

hey buddy... this is not a joke... this is specifically for the talent which is present in the Middle East.
The promotions was already ON but this is to inform the world about such a concept taking shape in this part of the world which is phenomenoal according to us cause it really gives a chance to ones not heard to showcase what their journey is all about.

Judge and Main Act: CHICAGO (1200 Micrograms)
On behalf of RAVELATIONS, we would like to Thank all the DJ's that performed over the last 2 weeks. Your Passion, Determination and Appreciation for the Music made RAVELATIONS Prodigy an event to be remembered for a long... long.. time!
It would have not have been possible without your support for the event and most importantly for each other. The Respect and Support that you guys gave eachother brought out the true meaning of what RAVELATIONS aimed to promote- TOGETHERNESS!
We would like to Thank ALL the members of the SWARA Family for their support and dedication to the cause and most importantly Ashwin for all the time and effort that went into the artwork, design and production of RAVELATIONS Prodigy... and Jesika for her undying enthusiasm behind the camera! SWARA, without fail provides constant energy on the floor, behind the decks and brings the Love and Light wherever they go!
and every one of YOU that showed up... THANK YOU for your continued support, your interviews - comments and opinions and the effort you put into voting for your favourtie DJ's! It was definitely not an easy task but you all made a decision and now we have 4 DJ's that you want to hear, one of which will become the First Ever RAVELATIONS Prodigy!
and Finally... THANK YOU to Adam, Glen, Ashwin and Ricky - the Judges that were there to overlook the event and make sure that RAVELATIONS showcased their most talented contestants at the Finals where CHICAGO (1200 MICROGRAMS) willl be a guest judge to decide on the RAVELATIONS Prodigy!
