Rattling in my BM5A's

Hello, can someone help me out? My BM5A's are making rattling sounds on low frequencies on low volume levels. This occurs way before clipping levels. They are less than 2 years old, and I've treated them like babies. I don't understand why this is happening. Highs and Mid's still sound great. I've tested the low frequencies with well mixed and mastered professional tracks and it still does this. What could be the cause of this problem and how can I fix it?

are you sure the rattle comes from the cones?
maybe you got some item that resonates with it... check your room..

and maybe if it is something with the speaker it might be a screw thats a little lose...

check it all...

does anyone else expirience twiter unit not working for 5 minutes when turn them on? like it takes time to warm up ??? the manual says to listen to music 15 minutes before start work with them.. but i just wonder if that happens to u 2?           www.sattelbattle.com

Elad,
That's a known problem with the BM6A's, you're talking about the MKI right?           http://www.soundcloud.com/getafixmusic

Hi, thank you all for your responses. I've ruled out any outside resonances. I've lifted up the monitors in the air and put my ear to the back and the fluttering is coming from inside for sure. I've also checked all the screwed on the back and there all tight. It definitely something inside going on. Its also happening to both of them, not just one. One flutters more so than the other though.

Ok, I think I realized what it is thats causing this fluttering sound. I think its the air coming out of the port in the back of the monitors when there is heavy bass going on. It never use to do this. I tried playing Vibrasphere erosion on them to test of the kick on the monitors and i think its for sure the air pressure coming out of the port thats causing the flutter sounds. What can I do about this? The fluttering is driving me insane. I'm not even close to the clipping range on the monitors.

this is lame, the warranty is only for 1 year too. Now I have to bring them in, and its obviously something flawed with the monitors themselves. Now I have to pay for it. I hope it's not hundreds of dollars.

yeah thats shit.. sure they gonna be ok for 1st year..
this why i always prefer to get extension warranty on laptops or anything and just sell them as soon its not possible any longer and get another one (suggested with cars too)          www.sattelbattle.com
