yeah but be sure to convert to 44.1 16 bit cause of the compatibility.. I had problems with it few days ago while archieving my tracks..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

I only convert CDs to FLAC. Never though about it for my projects. Don't think I would though. Creates more work.

its a piece of cake once u get into it.. exporting all tracks, converting and than backing up project.. u can even import flac in ableton.. best thing about flac is that it "cuts" silences so u dont have to do that to wavs to reduce the size manually..
theres also that ape- monkeys audio with slightly better compression           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

yeah, every DAW has its own way..
Whats the deal with Protools, which version do u use?
Can I use M-powered version if I buy M-audio Axiom?
I only tried LE so far and it sucks but I would like to try higher versions..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

I use LE but its not for everyone. I record bands though so that's one reason why I have it. There's only HD, LE and M-powered. But HD is just too expensive. I think you need an actual M-Audio sound card to use PT M-powered. But if you didn't like LE then you won't like any of them to be honest.

Yeah its great for rock and stuff like that.. Cubase also.. But for electronica ableton rules so far.. Reason is if u dont want to mess with vsts.. But rewireing them all plus nuendo is ultimate solution.. Pro tools would be great if they werent using that crack protection(audio cards).. I especially like its plugins, if only they could be found in vst versions..           http://www.facebook.com/xrayzproductions

well PT archiving is for PT users.

I see many artist using RAR for archiving their work, which is a general format vs Flac, which meant to be just for audio. Why is that?           https://soundcloud.com/jaadoo
