Random clicks & cracks in my Virus synth...HELP!

Hello, long time didn't seen...
My virus_a shows me first signs of mental disorder...
Something wrong with him lately, sometimes everything
works fine, but sometimes it plays some random loud clicks
that sounds like spikes of digital distortion, short loud clicks.
WHY?
Someone experienced this ?
Is it really that bad ?

I would add more info:
I've noticed that it happens when i play
2 channels at same time. One channel plays a
4 note chord with filter controller, and the
2'nd channel who bumps up the bassline has
4 controller tracks and it plays max 2 notes
at same time. Virus-A has 12 notes of polyphony.
Most of the clicks comes from the 2'nd channel,
and when i solo it - the clicks dissappear...
So, i guess it's not a polyphony issue...
but wtf is that ?

Obvious question is it the same patches?
If only channel 2, what happens if you play the channel 2 patch in single mode rather then multi? |

It's 2 totally different patches, bass and pad,
bass plays on (out3 mono), and pad (out1 stereo)
In single it's ok, but if i switch to multi
or multisingle - the bass channel goes crazy
with those clicks.
In my tune, at some point both patches need
to play at same time, but it clicks like a #%$@^&*%!@.

Damn, same thing happening to your virus bro ?
What virus model do you have ?
I guess it has nothing to do with Cubase latency,
because my virus was working great for more than a year.
until couple of days ago...

Have you tried checking that you are not running out of polyphony?
For all patches that you play at the same time check:
1) How many notes you are playing.
2) If any of the patches are running in Unison.
If they are running in unison remember that for each unison value, you take up one note from polyphony. This means that if one of your sounds has unison value 4, you "play" 4 of this sound at once. Since the Virus "only" can play 32 voices at once, it starts cutting the sounds when it hits the 32.
At least that was my problem when I had the excact same problem as you. Try lowering the unison values on the sounds and see if it doesn't help

Sorry, I just noticed that you wrote that you have a Virus A
So if the patch you have playing the 4 note chord has is running in a Unison mode of 3, you will already be running out of polyphony...
So my guess is that it is indeed a polyphony issue

Man, you was right, i was totally out of polyphony with this one, smokin' too much bongs all night...
