Radical Distortion whose members are John Spanos & Nick Polytaridis from Greece, create a new sound, totally influenced by old school goa trance, which brings back great memories.
Their first release in Apsara compilation from Suntrip Records got wicked feedback and they put their inspiration for making some energetic goa sounds into this release too.
Mendark is Nick Miamis from Greece, known also from his chilled project Side Liner (Cosmicleaf records) . Mendark has created a new sound, influenced by goa trance and full on and together with Radical Distortion they bring the purple energy to the dance floors.
From the hallucinogenic “equilibrium” to the kicking “3 on a tree” in collaboration with Sunhize from Greece, crossing over to the goa full on of “Purple Energy” this is a diverse collection of sounds and moods.
If you are searching for old school goa tracks and great dancefloor tracks ….then this release is here to keep you satisfied!

Nick Polytaridis and John Spanos from Greece are also known in Greece from other projects as Mihabra & Asinar, having releases in Greek labels as Unicorn Music and Digital Underground/Sony.
Always fans of the old school goa trance sound, they formed the Radical Distortion project and with their first release in Apsara compilation from Suntrip records they got lot of wicked feedback around the world. Now they are concentrating on this new project preparing also their debut album!

about Mendark:

Mendark is 26 years old Nick Miamis from Athens Greece.
He has been involved in electronic music from 1997 releasing on Greek labels such as Discobole Records/Sony, Digital Underground/Sony and Unicorn Music.Also is the founder and label manager of Unicorn Music and Cosmicleaf Records
More recently Mendark has become very known in his country from his music featured on Greek TV station Alpha TV, for the “formula 1” and athletic shows.
His 2003 album “Haze to Order” in the nitzonot trance style hit the Greek IFPI charts and was for many weeks nr 27 in the top50 selling albums in the Greek market.
Many of his gigs in Greece were along with names such as Yahel and Eyal Barkan.
Last year Nick had much exposure abroad with his chilled project Side Liner, and participated in the Omni Festival 2005 / Spain. Now he has created a new trance style for his project Mendark way different from his old style influenced by goa and full on with his dynamic characteristics.

i think is clear from the release info that has not connection with uplifting trance....if not sorry for the misunderstanding
but thank you for the question as maybe other people might have the same query with you....
and now appear the chance for clarification
Mendark might remembers in some people uplifting but now has different music directions in his productions far away from his old nitzonot style.
In this release we are talking for an oldschool goa and melodic psychedelic from both projects.
We have demos for listening and everyone can preview if this release fits in their taste,
worths a try,

Yeah I listened to the samples and I don't think there's any uplifting thing in them.
Although I'm having trouble to accept contemporary versions of oldschool goa ( I don't know why and I have no prejudice against goa), from what I listened here I think I'm closer to Mendark's musical point of view. Sounds to me more mature and deeply bound to the original goa prototypes.
I also liked the Radical Distortion - Inspiration track, reminded me of some Goa-Tel Aviv compilation back in 97 
Well sorry, I had no idea that Mendark was behind the production of tunes for the athletic shows on Alpha TV! yes, there you can speak about uplifting sounds, quite fit for the occasion of course.
So good luck with the release, I'm sure it will satisfy the oldschool goaheads
ps. There's a slight mistake in the tracklist, track 6 has no sample! |

Purple Energy: indicates spiritual thoughts. Purple is never a strong point in the Aura. It appears only as temporary "clouds" and "flames", indicating truly spiritual thoughts. But this time I got a whole CD full of musical fuel to drive my spiritual thoughts far longer than ever before.
Mendark and Radical Distortion has created great basis for a very powerful experience by this album. As the first tones fills up the air around me, I can almost feel my aura stretching out as my body feasts on the psychedelic energy coming towards me in full range from my speakers. Soon I gain so much energy that I can't stand still anymore. My feet start to move around while nodding my head to the rhythm as it starts slowly and takes more and more effect, closing my eyes to focus fully on every millisecond of the wild music. The deep, deep tones moving slowly, like faithful rocks forming a solid ground, while multilayer fillings supporting the melodies in the most intelligent way.
The effectfull sounds and technical details are overwhelming when filling every tiny bit of time out. As I enjoy the music, holding out my hands in the air I can almost feel how the energy are coming at me in soft waveform. Touching the excited air with my fingertips, feeling my aura expand even more, and more, and more, ending out filling the room in an intense way of purple energy so powerful that I now must see it for my self.
Slowly I open my eyes while focusing by my third eye, still feeling so relaxed in my eyes as if they were a sleep, I now clearly see the air like a sea of purple water. The baseline, pumping so intense that thick wave's flush around and the clear thin melodies trickles in the corners of the room, like little fountains contributing to the very complexity of the wave surface.
I can stand here for hours, enjoying myself and these fresh waves of music, made in Greece by great and skilled artists. I can imagine what impact it will be to join a party on such great music, beeing surrounded by fellow species, full of joy and full of love, dancing for several hours, having only this instant purpose in life; to feel every spilt second of the present.
I now deeply understand the purpose of the cover art, showing how cubes of this purple energy is stored like frozen water in ice cubes. The energy is for you to use, as you please and the best of it is; that afterwards there is absolutely no dripping to clean up in contrast to the melted ice ;-). Pure purple energy, totally absorbable - enjoy.
