well, a few words...

your bassline lacks punch for it's specific role (providing drive and pumping it up). eq it and tweak the sound some.
the "Juno" sound (im guessing it's the "Apocalypse" setting in the TS404, Fruity loops) is nice, it's parts are Ok, but they become overbearing at some point.
you have good percussion work, but not imaginative enough in the big scheme of things. your intro is well concieved, as well as your breaks, but you need some more changes.
try losing the FlyBy sample, it's been over used.
again, the Juno leads, while being well written, require something different, another sound perhaps..? they also need some EQ, Stat. try adding some reverb to them as well, give a body to that fat sound..
the finishing is rather good, but not for a mix.
over all, a nice, crunchy, old-school vibey track, but you need to work more on the sounds you use, have more elaboration in their usage and variety. work on that bass line (try using a Saw on one of the OSC's).
good morning, Vietnam.

Hi Jason!

Some questions i have.. What do you mean exactly about the bassline? Is it not loud enough? I guess i could make it a bit fat and louder but this propably will add noise to the sound because already there is a lot bass coming from the Juno and another ts404 organ.
Its not the Apocalypse setting in TS404 it is the Juno as i already mention and it has lots of reverb+delay. I dont know what kind monitors you have jason but in my soundsystem(subwoofer) this track produces lots of bass and the bassline and the juno are quite strong.
As for the intro , i didnt want to make one..i wanted a quick start, a typical night tune fast & hard with no 'no-beat' section .
I am going to add a little tweaking here and there in this track and a more proper Eq in the master channel of the track in the future.

Thanks for the feedback J !
any other people would like to say something?

I heard this Track in my Sony Headset. the bassline, other being in the wrong type of sound, is out of balance in Key to the other parts of the track.
Monitors should be flat at all times when you produce. otherwise you hear things that you don't usuelly hear on normal, flat monitors. my speakers, for instance, produce a lot of Middle sound, so i have to work very hard to make my bassier parts sound right, using headsets and lots of EQ. when i produce a bassline, i try to make it fat and beefy more than usuel, so later i won't have any problems. check your bass settings. im pretty sure you've got all the OSC's on Sine. try switching one of them to Saw or Square, and tweak a little. the difference is enourmous. i gurrantee you.           "We Do Not Allways See Things As They Are. Interesting idea using flat monitors. Never done it before , so you say that if i manage to produce strong bass in flat monitors then i will make stronger basslines generaly.. I ll give it a try .

Hey J , which preset sound you think is nice to use from fruity for bassline?

EQ, EQ, EQ. You need to work a lot with it. Maybe turn off the woofer, since the sound isn't clear and this may be a reason (I worked with a woofer a long time, and my track soundswere always innacurate - at best). Jason's remarks stand - he is wise in the ways of musicmaking

Aside from the technical standpoint, I think this track could also use some heavy tweaking in the percussion, build and leads - everything sounds too static, not enough flowing and going wild here.

Keep up the good work, and don't work with a very innacurate sound system since you can't hear what you're doing, actually.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

Guys i just updated a bit the Psychomotor track a bit.. I imported a new heavier bassline and i tweaked it to a certain point.. I also Eq the kick and the Juno lead. Some tweakings also in the lead are noticable also. Some reverb to percussion and specially to the snare.

Can you share with me your thoughts about the new version of my track?

thanks guys !

enjoy!

p.s. use the same link.

Much improved sound, but the Juno sound should be fattened up a plenty (reverb with the high cut at around 1.5khz). Bassline should have a little more tone to it. The percussion doesn't have a real "flowing" feeling to it even though at the 3:00+ mark it sounds great, maybe you should think of adding a few more rhythmic ideas there. Again, there are many EQ problems because your sound system isn't flat.

This version is better than the last, but still some way to go.           http://www.myspace.com/Hooloovoo222

... I suppose it's all about sonic perfection!

Good vibes here without a doubt, but I felt that there wasn't enough "ebb 'n flow" between the inter-sections. I kept on listening for the tweaked wooshes and tasty samples. Don't get me wrong, this track at the moment is a foundation for a greater weaving frenzy. 'Tis true, the bassline is lost somewhat. Solid composition here too.

Overandout.
