Everytime I play this album the same two words pop up in my mind : pure genius. It still sounds as fresh and innovative as when I first heard it and listening to it reminds me of the many mind journeys for which it has been a perfect soundtrack If only more releases approached this quality of psychedelia...           Row row row your boats gently down the stream; merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream.

Is it in the same mood/style/psy as Nissimyani?

The mood is pretty similar to Nissimyani, but it's less bouncy and much more complex and varied. Although I love Nissimyani, especially the second album, Rabbit from Darkside is on a higher level. "Pirate Signal" was interesting, but it doesn't compare to Rabbit... I'm placing my hopes in the third album           Row row row your boats gently down the stream; merrily merrily merrily merrily life is but a dream.

hehe great
im just listening to rinkadink (pirate signal)
but i agree "rabit from the dark side" is better...
very original sound, top produced and for sure very complex
but sometimes i wish he could do some more hard tracks like some years ago...

I love this album too!

Read my recent interview with Rinka, he talks a lot about his album:
http://www.fullonline.net/archives/2006/02/rinkadink.html

Little teaser:
fullonline: On the booklet of my original, under the Stampede track is written: "Written by Vana in some hotel room, Brazil." Is it true you did the album without monitors, only with headphones? Comment that.

Rinkadink: Yes its true, most of the album was written at the kitchen table with headphones, but of course I spent time in a proper studio correcting the mixes once all the trax were completed...
Respect!

I guess i'm one of da lucky ones who had da chance to meet wit vana

Besides da kitchen headphone mastering and da feet perfume ...he also hates strippers dancing on da stage in front of him. Funny guy and killer producer...perfect combination           don't fuck with me
