How can I sample them?
I'm running a video file through windows media player classic, and going to audacity and changing all the ins and outs, but I can't seem to get any sound coming into the program.
I use a MOTU Traveler.

use sony sound forge.....put a timmer or trigger to record when sound travels to soundforge from media player, press play..........or use cool edit pro, or straight into cubase.
the audio ins n out will be enabled within which ever editing program u will use not windows media player itself

i often use just the record option in wavelab which runs here quite often in tha back.check your soundcard mixer pref and correct routings there and in wavelab or soundforge or anything that works nice for you.

I cant check exactly how it works right now, but you can route the output to an input in the cuemix console. then you can simply record from mediaplayer in cubase to an audiotrack f.e.
I think you can save that as a template then and just open it when you need it

I've never used audacity, but are you sure you can't just import the video file straight in and cut it down?
I always just do this with Sound Forge. Seems so stupid to route audio if you can just import the file.. |
