I have the Delta AP 2496 you talk about, and I´m satisfied with it, nothing more, nothing less, but I think I would go for one of the bigger M-Audio soundcards. Don't know anything about their external gear.
Edit: I have to say that there are other soundcards that are much better quality than M-Audio, for example RME, but I figure that when you talk about M-Audio it's primarily because of the Value/Money ratio, am I right?  //Zeyon. |

hellow .. well .. id asked a friend to pick up a 2496 for me from the states .. that was out of stock so she bought this one instead .. (clueless about these things) .im pretty much a noob myself .. soo .. is it an ok one ? also .. i hope external cards are easy to use etc . would i need a special usb port for it ? .. never used an external card b4 so .. any inputs appreciated .. still bout a month b4 i get it in my hands ..

hi! it really depends on what you want to do with the card if its ok or not... for example the card has just one stereo input, if you'd like to use tgwo synths you'll have a problem, if you don't have any external hardware you wont even use the input. and it needs a normal usb 2.0 port, don't know what you mean with "special usb port"?!?! |
