im starting a small label and want to know what is the average price (all up front of course) to get an unreleased track to put on my V/A compilation. I have been getting quotes from artists top artists ranging from 300-600 euro, seems decent enough considering they are well known respected talents and im a newcoming label. money isn't an object but what's too high for a single song?
any other advice for new labels or liscensing would be appriecated. thanks !
