Hello there.

I jsut started using ableton yesterday, instead of reason 5.
Im already struggling with some minor problems.

So here is my problem, its described in the picture in my link.

I hope somebody can help me, thanks in advance.

If there is a beginner thread for ableton live users, please let me know.

I've already watched the tutorial "Introduction to Digital Audio Production" by tom cosm.

I'm not an live user, but I believe that you have to right click and disable "snap to grid" or set it to a smaller notelength...

Hold down the alt key while dragging to the left

Otherwise right click where you draw in the notes and change the grid to something smaller like 1/32 or 1/64

Alt-Key turns off the grid as log as you press it.

right click: No grid turns it off permanently.

right-click in your midi clip to bring up the grid options and select "narrow" under the "adaptive grid" section. this will give you finer definition grid lines as you zoom in. It's very handy!

Of the ones mentioned in this topic, i found that holding the alt key was the easiest solution

is there an easier way ?
