Hello, i just started working with ableton 6 and i have a little problem, i have tannoy active monitors (whitout volume adjustment) wich are connected to my m-audio ozone which i use also as my external soundcard... problem is, i cant adjust the volume of my monitors on the monitors themselves and i can't adjust it on my ozone, so i have to do it on my computer itself, now when i'm browsing in ableton through my samples it gives me a preview of the sample, but i can't adjust the volume of this... so it is much to loud... any ideas? should i purchase an external volume controller like a mixer or can i adjust it on my pc, i dunno... thanx in advance

In Ableton on the master channel you'll see a round slider below the panning slider/button (??) (the round one...sorry my english) with a headphone sign in the middle...there you can adjust the volume of the previewing function....

have fun

You should get an external volume controller.

If you adjust the level in the digital domain your converters will not operate at full resolution, and even if you had a volume control on the speakers that's the amp level which should not be attenuated too far to make it work at it's best.           (``·.¸(``·.¸(``·.¸¸.·`´)¸.·`´)¸.·`´)
