i've been living in greece for a while now, and from what i have noticed u have the most expensive parties maybe in the world. one party costs between 22-25EUR (i mean for a regular one) which for me is unreasonably high and i think is to much even for u, the greek people.
i know u people have higher living standards then us in my country, but the prices u have here are much higher than in all other countries. thats why i've been to 3-4 parties in greece only, since one party totally with all other expenses costs more than 50EUR.
so my question is whether there is any particular reason for this or....?

Andrejcid the main reasons for the high prices are the huge ammounts of money that club owners ask,the big taxation and the big ammounts that artists ask to play in Greece since there are many promoters and whoever gives more money will be able to make good bookings.
In countries like Skopjie and Yugoslavia and the likes artists get half the money that they ask for playing in Greece and thats something that many artists have said to me in personal.
Also people in Athens dont much listen to psy trance music so for example an organisation cant afford to have an entrance fee of 20 euros like the techno or house clubs do because a psy party doesnt easy gather 2000-2500 people every saturday.
I hope that in the future things will change.

yea i understand what ur saying detox and i'm aware that most of the artists have way lower tarifs for playing in my country than in Greece.
but what is very weard is that this happens in greece only and it would have been fine if u had the richest country in the world, but u do not unfortunately and yet the prices are the highest.
it is just to much, and i cant understand how can people go on such expensive parties every weekend....and still have a nice an big scene

well, yes. clubs ask for a lot of money to rent their club and if you concider that there are very few clubs that do that you realize that you have something like a monopole with that...so...you want a club, you pay alat for that.
the thing with the artists is a bit simular i think. all greek promoters want to bring the same artists most of the times. so if 2 promoters fight about the same artist, the artist will propably choose the one that will pay more. and promoters to get them i'm sure they will offer more than the other and etc...so fees are going higher here and why not to stay high? promoters pay anyway.
also in Greece we have this superstar phenomena...all promoters want to bring only the "big" names and "stars" of the scene. nowbody takes the risk for smaller names that will offer cheaper partys to people and something different for a change. that also make me thing if we are realy openminded here or just stucked in one and on;y sound, but this is another discussion. So...at least give the change to smaller artists, who knows mayby you discover first tomorrows star!!...all big names got big cause someone gave them a change, cause someone toke the risk to bring them for the first time, they where not born as "stars". not to mention that young and small artists have more passion that older artists. not that older don't have passion but you know what i mean and tell me plz if i'm wrong...it's what they say: young ppl is the future of a country(scene) not the old ones.
It's also a fault of the party people here in Greece. they know that they pay a lot of money that sometimes is not excused but they still paying it. so the promoters say : ok, they are coming into my party anyway so why not to leave the prices high. they come anyway...
if the people didn't show up in a couple of high price partys you should see how prices would get lower.
and last but not least i agree with Detox:
""I really cant explain that to be honest but greeks always have a way and they go out on saturdays""

I agree totally with you Kiou! I have stopped to go to parties because of this phenomena. I want to pay a normal ticket and to hear every week someone different artist with different sounds.
  BE HAPPY!!!
