Hi
Does anybody know this:

I have some questions about this:
+ what exactly is on the cds, and what is written in the book, and can i use the cds without the book, or are there only the sound examples on the discs, so that i always have to read the tutorials.
+ is it usefull for goa?
+ is the quality as high as the price?
+ what else should i know before buying

1) a training programme to learn how to 'listen into a mix'... U can train this urself, just play a classical piece and try to copy the melody of one instrument. If u train this regularly u'll be able to listen 'into' any kind of song. This even becomes a problem, after a while ur constantly analysing songs instead of just listening to them. 
2) goa/psytrance achieves it's sound more thru production then thru composition, so any book about producing and mastering will be very handy
3) i can't judge that, but as far as i know professional literature (i'm a programmer too, so i get a lot of that kind of books) that is actually a quite cheap book...
4) u should look at other books too... The one which i know received the most rave reviews is 'mastering audio by bob katz', the one i am going to buy in fact... |
