If a Dj crew website had an mp3 player and had a track produced by you on the site for people to listen to (128 k & already released)

would that upset you?           www.facebook.com/DjJanux

If it was already a released track, i guess not... as long as the credit for the tracks is correct ie information etc ...

but thats me personally, im sure some people would get a lil bit touchy, for royalties etc.. i guess it also depends on the context that the track is being played ... ie if its a label website, and ur track isnt on the label... thats not really right, but if its a general trance, or dj website, iw ould take it as a compliment..

If we have to follow the international copyright law then no you are not allowed to even steam, showcase etc. without an agreement and paying a yearly fee to your national musicians copyright organisation according to the amount of times you play the music. It does not matter if the music is released or not or if it's only streaming. As soon as an artist have registered the music via his/her national musicians copyright organisation then it's a violation of the law to stream his/her music without a prior acceptance. You need to apply via your nations musicians copyright organisation for "online use of music".

Obvioulsy this is the legal side of the matter and I will not tell you what to do. The risk of getting "caught" is probably very minimal. But the risk is there of course.

So it's up to you to do what you feel is ok.
