hi to all u psyheadz out there ,
im from india and i specialize in making melodic progressive trance . i use fl studio 4.1 , a couple of good vsti's and wavlab .
i was browsing through the forums and came to know that most of the people makin trance dont have a good opinion about fl studio [ fruity ] as far as quality and professionalism are concerned ..
i just dont seem to understand this
i mean to say that if eq's , compressors , limiters and all oter effects are going to be used in fruity , they are going to be used in other programs such as logic , cubase sx or nuendo as well .
then where actually is the qualtiy diffrrence ???
also having a good soundcard , or for the sake a good d/a convertor will also improve the fidelity of the trk ....
then y blame all on the software alone ??
i being a sound engineer and using pro tools at my studio fail to understand this ....
i u ppl think that im missing out on sumthing , then pls reply back and be kind enuff to let me know ..
bye to all of ya and cya l8rs ...

Hey...
Just thought Id give my 2 cents... If your using Fruity Loops like a sequencer... then there are better softwares that have more functions and power... In my Opinion...
I think most people bag on Fruity Loops is because of the sound in there are not the best. Of course if you Eq and compress them it may sound better.. But the actual quality of them ...
If your using mostly Vst then its same as Cubase or Nuendo or Logic... Just depends on what interface you like no?
Fruity is good because its user friendly... but doesnt make it less "pro" a lot of people had written very good tracks in there... So good luck
Peace

hey nectarios ...
it was really nice to hear from you ...
i got to know ur thoughts and would like to thank you for throwing some light on my doubts ..
but there are still some doubts tht linger in my mind and would really appreciate if you could hlp me out
1. i use fl studio for everything from composing to sequencing to the final mixdown .. i have also used cubase sx and nuendo and also have a good feeel of those awsome softwares ..
now wat im trying to tell is tht if i go according to the algorithm thing tht u told me , tht differes frm program to program ..
will it make a huge difference if i would export my patterns frm fruity as .wav's and then seq and mixdown them in nuendo , rather than doing the full thing in fruity ???
coz aneways when i export my patterns frm fruity , the first conversion which is very imp . has taken place using fl's algorithm make a lot of difference ??
2. most of stuf is all programmed and soft synth based , infact dont have a single piece of hardware , so i dont need to actually use pro tools ..
and lastly i cant evn think of makin a trk widout fl coz im soooooooo addicted to it
pls reply as to wat u think
