Is it possible to set the ms2000r in midimode? Otherwise you can always use it with midicable only and set CC's with Midilearn in ableton.

It is the "language" used within MIDI. Like CC127 is most likely the specific #CC signal you use for cutoff. Atleast on most synths, there are exceptions such as the Novation products, they somehow found it to be a good idea using cc 105...
But it doesnt matter, if you assign parameters (cc's) through midilearn in ableton they are dedicated to the task you give them.
Example: click midi button on your top right in ableton, click any type of parameter, knob or fader that you want to control (in ableton, not the ms2000) and then push any button, knob or fader on the actual ms2000 and see what happens.
I hope I helped in some way.

I have the keyboard version of the ms2000 and it does indeed send MIDI CC messages, so it can be used as a midi controller.
I'd imagine the rack version works the same.
