Hey friends,
I know it's might be a stupid question but i just moved to SX a month ago from V5,
Anyway.
When i want to export some instruments to audio, on the menu File>Export>Audio Mixdown - i can only export the whole track which it's not what i want.
on cubase 5 i could choose if i want to mixdown audio between locators or export the selected part - how i can do this with SX??
Thanks

SX can not export only selected parts; it only allows you to export between the locators. There is no option for this in the Export Audio dialog as it is the only option.
However it does allow you to export any channel, track, buss or output separately without having to mute the tracks you don't want to hear.
So... if you only want to export one part you can select the part, press 'P' to put the locators either side of the part (default keyboard shortcut), then go into the export dialog and select the track of the part you want to export in the "Outputs" box. Press Save... job done. |

I couldn't find a way to record one channel separately without muting the others- maybe i did not understand what you mean about the "outputs" box

In the bottom left corner of the "Export Audio Mixdown" dialog there is a list box maked "Outputs". Normally this is set to "Stereo Out (Stereo)" which means that you will be exporting what is coming out of the main outputs.
In Cubase SX (NOT SL or SE!) you can change this so that the name of any audio channel appears here instead. The mixdown will then consist of only the audio that is coming out of that audio channel.
If you need more help, look in the on-line help under Export Audio Mixdown.
