Let's say I'm getting a sound card without MIDI interface, for example the Midiman Delta. I need to get a MIDI interface from USB and from another sound card that has a game port. Does the card with the game port (for the MIDI) need to be good? or can be a total shit, because I'm using it only for the MIDI and don't need it to be good in audio. Can it be just a simple SB (or worse)? |

The question is:Is the midi interface of the sound card any good, and are it's drivers any good. Generally - shitty cards are shitty, no matter how you look at them. If it has poor drivers you migh get midi latency/inaccuracy. A midiman2X2 costs only about 400NIS, so I think it's a smart investment. |
