Even if there are no live instruments and just button pushing, isn't part of it about getting a chance to support an artist you enjoy, with the added bonus of hearing new/altered material?

I am honestly a bit jealous of the OP and would love to see OTT live.

i wouldn't care if he is doing what is called "live". if he plays a mash-up of his own stuff with other producers' tracks that suites me fine. i won't get all anal. it would really suck to see this scene become full of "trainspotters" analizing and critiquing to death everything their favorite producer or dj does. i am confident that whatever OTT does during his "slot" will be great. i highly doubt he will sit there and play nothing but his own original tracks. consider yourselves lucky to see him. get in your comfort zone and enjoy.

"trainspotters" is quite a derogative term,in case you were not aware.
Im not going to comment you post as its self explainatory of where you come from.

Nice! Talk about perfect timing. Thanks for the heads up, damon! If you're there, I owe you a beer or three!

Speaking of: Here's vid of a recent live show for those asking about his setup.

tnx techmonkey to finally reveal us the truth with that video.
the experienced trainspotter eye can spot what is going on on the screen of the laptop...eheheh.....

I think pushing buttons and turning knobs and kaos pads is sooo last week and not nice to look at.
I rekon a modern liveset should be done using a iphone (to play that long file already mixed) and a nintedo wii....hands free finally.

ps.better to be a trainspotter than be on that train.           "There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain will never improve, and that's here." Aldus

Yeah. Saw that an interpreted that as the owners/proprietors of this mythical lounge. Know I know, and knowing is half the battle!

It's better to see him live than Dj , I really respect him as an artist some of his tunes really take you into other dimensions but as a dj he sucks ! It's all ropey old 70's dub and wacky student union on a wednesday night shite.

Some of you may have seen this video posted last year by Tom Cosm and shows how you can do alot during a 'live' set .

Very interesting for people like myself who know bugger all about music prodution.
