What exactly are the responsibilities of the record labels when it comes to improving the songs?
Do they just do the mastering, or do they improve the song in other ways as well?
I've got many good tracks that everything is very good, but my drums are rubbish. Do they improve such things?
I've noticed that raja ram adds his personal touch to some of the tracks in his compilations. Is this a one off, or does this happen to all record labels? |

Not at all...
Here we have a guy who mades all the mastering stuff, for the track composition is 100% up to our artists...
This guy is in charge to ask the artists the direction the track will take, if the final mix doesnt satisfy the artists a new mix is done

A track should come as good sounding as it can to the label, the label then can only master it to match sound in every track in their compilation. It depends which labels...
some labels won't get bad sounding material. some labels expect the artist to be a mastering engineer also.....
