What is the fastest/easiest way to control a VSTI parameter using a midi controller?
I have Some VSTIs that do not have a MidiLearn function and/or CC map.

search for Generic Remote on this forum or in sx3
it works fine in sx3, you just have to set it up once for every vst you want to control. once set up you can recall the settings for a particular vst if you stored the setting. |

Using a controller with FL Studio is the easiest thing ever, I'm thinking of moving over to Cubase so the fact that I'm gonna have problems using a controller with VSTs is a bit disturbing. |

Using Generic Remote in Cubase/Nuendo is extremely simple. It has a "knob learn" function, you configure all your knobs, and then you can easily assign them to any parameters in VST's you have running.
However, as of Nuendo 3.0 - you cannot control VST insert parameters anymore through generic remote anymore. Not sure if thats the same with Cubase SX3 |
