Polysonic, Mystery Machine & Samsara are very excited to announce the third annual Quantum Relic! This year's installment will see the introduction of a second main stage, as well as a funky new lounge space, dome theater, workshops & much more.

Festival Manifesto

Located in South East QLD, Quantum Relic is a forward thinking event focusing on values of diversity, accessibility and sustainability of cultural celebration. Quantum Relic strives to engage and challenge a wide range of sub-cultures by delivering a culturally diverse and inclusive multi-day festival experience showcasing artistic talent from many mediums. Culture is an integral and indispensable part of the human experience; it defines us and binds us to each other through shared experience and learning. Quantum Relic wishes to encourage the exchange and interaction between people in sub-cultures in an attempt to blur the lines between an ever increasingly secular society. Through this we hope to create a space for people to experience, learn, play, listen, dance, see, understand, participate in and share life in a rich and fulfilling context.

This year's event is spread across 3 stages for 3 days, with a stellar international, interstate and local lineup of music, performance, production talent & more, as well as you - the participant!

Pull up a beanbag and make yourself at home in front of the Quantum Relic big screen. The cinema is the space to sit down and absorb new and interesting audio visual delicacies - all of which are hand picked to entertain, enlighten or ignite the senses. Documentaries and cinematic oddities from around the globe have been selected by special guest programmers including West End's Trash Video.

• Workshops

The workshop component forms an important aspect of festival life; bringing together generations of people to share information and practical skills for the benefit and advancement of the community. The Saturday program covers everything from age old bush survival knowledge to the latest cutting edge music production techniques. There is truly something for everyone in this year’s selection of speakers and special guests.

• Quantum Café

The Quantum Café is probably the comfiest space in the festival – grab some cake, a tea or some coffee and kick off your dancing shoes for a while. It’s the perfect place to have a chat with friends, watch the passers by, or maybe even just work out what to experience next…

• the petri dish – breeding culture (Outdoor Art Gallery)

“The Petri Dish - Breeding Culture" is sponsoring a creative art space at Quantum Relic. Kind of like an art gallery except in a lush setting. It will be a place where you can peruse [and of course, purchase] quality art work, at an affordable price. Each of the exhibiting artist's are active within the Brisbane art scene. There will also be an opportunity to see each artist at work while they produce artwork individually as well as in collaboration with each other. Keep a casual eye on the chalk boards out front for spontaneous workshops - seasonal art salad.

This space is really about connecting the dots. A good environment in which creative types can network with each other. Please feel free to bring fliers for upcoming events and creative cultural gatherings. The gallery will be open from 10am - 4pm daily in the section. Please feel free to come up for a chat!

• Performances (on stage and roving)

The festival will come to life with a range of interesting and vibrant performances from stilt walkers to fire breathers, a freak show, grinding performances, burlesque, belly dancing and more! The performances will be integrated into all three stages as well as roving the grounds.
