tracklist:

1. Ketzer 4 ever 144 bpm
2. Flangerized 145
3. Love Affair 145
4. Blue Sky 145
5. Gog U Magog 145
6. Cells remix 145
7. When You See The Light 142
8. Outrage 140
9. It Never Ends 140

Quantum aka Dj Gigi Ovek Olam project (Gidi Snapir)brings us his debut album Outrage after a promising Cd single Flangerized.

I would describe his style as an unprobable meeting between dark-cyber-apocalyptic atmospheres & discret happy-go-lucky melodies.

Ketzer 4 ever contains several slighty sour klonky tones, very funny.

Flangerized got a Pynk Floyd guitar riff alike intro, the electric guitar part remains a bit then you penetrate the darker Quantums sonic dimension with some hesitating bleeps intrusions.

Love Affair got also funny sounds which seems to fall or exactly tumble down in succession which constrastes with an authoritative heavy bassline, also embellished later on with trembling tones.

In Blue Sky, the bassline is rougher, dryer as i like to say. Except a discret nonchalant melody coming out from kinda soft industrial tone & a changing bassline getting announcing (around 600) the unexpected final boisterous blaze.

The bassline is more bouncy in Gog U Magog, a weird tone comes at 240 something like if someone was puting out ones tongue in front of you several times in a flouting way. After around 430 the atmosphere evolves into more apocalyptic with a dramatic emphasis at 730.

In Cells remix, youll notice quickly the use of percussions in the background as well as some collapsing electric guitar riffs, on the end kinda overwhelming rain occurs by way of final cut.

When you see the light is without doubt the most futuristic cyber robotic sounding & happy freaky track of the album.

Outrage goes on the raving futistic trend of previous tune, Quantum has also injected percussions here in order to make you be all at sea.

It never ends sounds more gloomy with a hint of melancholy in the melody maybe coz its time to separate from Quantum therefore closes nicely in the same way of the whole content of this miscellany.

The good unexpected surprise of this debut 2004.

8/10

After one year of this realease, I bought this CD because a friend of@mine told me "if you like reaaaaly good trance, buy this one" and so he pointed this CD in kiosk in a wonderful underground party out of Nagoya (that's Japan).
I got all the shivers that any music can create in your soul!!!! Quantum made a CD that is unbelievable good.

Try this sounds guys! It made me cry!

I strongly discord from 8/10 given by Le Lotus Bleu.

My grade is: 10/10, classic! wonderful!
Well done Quantum!

I expect more like this!!!

Peace and Love.

If you liked this, why not also check out the two Spectrum albums?? There's one on Phonokol (the newest release) and there's XXX, the one before that. DJ Dede (man behind Quantum) is involved in both the Spectrum albums and particulary Catalizer (the one on Phonokol) sounds a lot like this Quantum offering. Speaking of which: solid album here. Of you're looking for some quality psytrance (full on) you should check it out. It's far from the standard releases we get so much nowadays.           "Subconscious unravels at the point of death, and all time it has known erupts into a moment. As death extinguishes us, so we become it."

Gidi, guy! you're great. I loved ALL your tracks, I just can't stop listening to "it never ends". Le Lotus Bleu pointed that there's a hint of melancholy in this track, but I think it's a mix of happiness created by the wonderful bassline and yes, a little humane melancholy brought by the sensitive, touching melody in it. I loved this CD so much that I already have asked my company a day-off just to see you live in Osaka. And that's 200 km by train bullet, but I am sure it's gonna be worth.
Hope your next release is gonna be so good as "outrage".

See you there!

Peace and Love!
