Putting an edge to each pattern/line in pianoroll in FL..?

Hi,
How i kill all sound after each pattern/line in pianoroll easier than using automate? There must be some setups in FL where i can choose total lenght of the each pattern/line, when its meant to cut all sound after but dont know where..
The idea is to clear the room for disturbing delays/reverbs wich are not welcome, and add some edges to the song.
Thanks already for hints/tricks!

yooo man!
all i know about dat is to automate...works cool for me...well other way that works is to put all the sounds (on the loop) u want to sound and mute...pass(Copying and pasting the notes n steps of the step Sequencer) all the sounds(bass,kicks,drums,etc,) to 1 pattern..and draw them (after drawing the notes just mute or dont draw sounds or notes where u want to mute) each on `their true channel.. =D hope it works

easy: work in playlist only.  The 'make unique' option in 8.5 drastically changed my workflow in FL. If you only work in playlist, you can do anything you like on audio and you can cut any midiclip as you please. With 'make unique', you create an extra pattern. If you like to cut everything at a certain point, you better do so when stuff is rendered. If you still have stuff in midi running, you still have to automate volumes or send every other channel but the ones you want to a second master and mute that.

Thanks for replies! Yes, maybe automating is the solution until i try the 8.5 version which i never found on my account section when logging in..? Maybe i'm blind
Sometimes i find easier to just record (everything when playing) channel volume down when loop ends and leave the second volume knob on misc section to adjust final rate of whatever it plays.
More easier could be if in channel settings you could just add number of beats before silence.
Well, still i find FL one of the most creative tools when creating la musica.

yeah agreed, use the playlist, that way the automated section stays unique and you can pull it out when u need it.  |
