putin distortion in group channels...

i have a doubt bout it...
i have a group channels with my audio channels from my hi-percs...
but there are too many to apply individual distortion in each channel.... and to use distortion via SEND doenst sound very nice..
i wonder if i apply the distortiun unit in the insert from the group it ll kind create unwanted effects ...coz the distortion will be applyin in the sum of all the hats...
any coments on this ?

distortion post-mix always sounds worse than distortion pre-mix.
Find a distortion plugin that uses less CPU. |

and maybe it will produce WANTED effects? maybe it will be nice any fuzzy... hmmm maybe not? just experiment!

I usually send my hats to a group channel and apply distortion, I do the same for my snares and claps, then all that and the rest of the percussion is sent to another group channel for further processing if necessary.

i use distortion as insert on every channel. logic's built in distortion plugs aren't cpu hungry at all. |
