In the 60s, Jimi Hendrix made it his sonic playground; in the 70s it was an underground disco haven; in the 80s hardcore punk bands called it home; in the 90s underground raves dominated (remember the Lish House?)… and in the 21st century, the final stage of transformation is complete to a multimedia venue like no other. The Columbia City Theatre is open for business and IOSIS Art Party is ecstatic to be reviving the dance floor on July 9th with Sun Control Species from Australia.
Rich in history, CCT is better than ever and now host to IOSIS Art Party. On July 9th come experience the music of Sun Control Species (Australia) as Drooid surrounds you with psychedelic atmosphere and a capturing rhythm that'll send you galloping around the dancefloor. And if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also have the deep tribal progressive sounds of Osiris Indriya, cutting edge progressive mixing by Amanita and to start and end the evening, Lara with her smooth downtempo and hard psytrance. For your visual stimulation, you will find art by Osiris Indriya and GMC, including originals, prints and magnets for sale.

SUNCONTROLSPECIES aka Drooid (ZMA/Zenon/Iboga - Australia) from the north coast of Australia and has been writing psy for a quarter of his life. Released on international labels such as ZMA records [Greece] and Manta Records [New Zealand], also on aussie labels Edgecore Records, and nine09 records. The music of SCS is often border-crossing the usual rifts between progressive trance and more action packed trance, strong with psychedelic sounds, music for the mind as well as the feet. SCS attempts to incorporate visual design theories and his love of 'daytime' sets into an uplifting yet intense experience. Osiris Indriya (Oracle Gatherings, IOSIS – SEA, paintings) has played at many of Seattle’s hottest clubs including the Baltic Room and Marcus' Martini Heaven, where he held residence. Osiris is currently a resident DJ at Contour in downtown Seattle. Inspired by the combining of music and intentional spirituality, Osiris co-founded the legendary Oracle Gatherings. Inspiration hit again when Osiris teamed up with Infinite Connections to bring the best of Europe’s tribal progressive trance music to the Pacific Northwest and showcase fine art in a series of events called IOSIS Art Parties. His collection of sounds expands many genres blurring the lines between Progressive, Techno, House, Breaks and Trance with Tribal Rhythms while his original compositions mix elements of space into the places between genres. Osiris’ art displays aspects of the journey of the seeker finding the truth of his being. The rich and simple symbolism and the faceless human forms invite the viewer into this experience in the mediums of digital on canvas, acrylic on wood, watercolor on paper and pastels on paper. Amanita (IOSIS – Seattle) has been a DJ in Seattle for over 5 years focusing on the uplifting and driving sounds of psychedelic trance. Having played up and down the West coast with a who’s who list of international psychedelic producers and DJs such as Talamasca, Oforia, Shakta, Penta, Atomic Pulse, Wizzy Noise and Ticon, Amanita has shifted his focus to the more progressive side of psychedelic dance music.
Lara (Independent, Seattle) was born in Vancouver, B.C., Canada. Her main interests are art and music. Both outlets of expression the basis of her spirituality, seven years ago she moved to Seattle, WA, from Vancouver, Canada and in a few years her life path veered off in a direction where she found
herself dejaying the music that changed her life forever: Goa & Psychedelic Trance. She has been involved with Seattle's small psytrance community for about 5 years, playing at Phoenix Festival, Earthdance, Hempfest, The As One Festival, "Atlantis" Oracle Gathering, "Golden Sun" Oracle Gathering, and many other outdoor gatherings and indoor shows, even snow!
GMC (mixed media) Graham Maynard Callan has always created art in one way or another. He currently makes images on clear acrylic plastic using paint, images, stickers, and rub-on letters. It is a fun and enjoyable way to create art. GMC is also am a father to an 8 year old boy named Kestler and a skateboarder.
