Greetings,
i have got this useless soundcard 2 days ago called Creamware Pulsar II, and i have problems with it's installation mabe you can help me?
thanks..

I installed the drivers of the pulsar 2 (Stuffed into PCI by myself) on Win2k..
restarted, it all looks fine.. i cheked at the control pannel, All playbackrecord channels are Enabled and O.K.

But than i know i can't do ANYTHING even not playback when the Scope Fusion software isn't installed..

**Software cd spinning in my burner**

I gently double click the Setup.exe file from the cd.. Nothing Happends..
Five Minutes..
Another Double Click.. Still Nothing..
Now i Click one time on the icon and geniousley hit the Enter Bar..
NADA
i open task managar.. three "installer.exe" named Proccesses siting there staring at me..

Then i phoned music shop they told me i need to have ASPI drivers.. Downloaded and installed ASIO OK, Still doesn't work..
Than im told to Change my computer driver in the Device Managar From Uniproccessor to Standart PC.. DID it, *ALL* drivers are Re-Installed, but this time not only the Setup.exe
Doesnt show up, also Creamware Pulsar Driver can't work propertly code 10.

I suddenly had a feeling that on win98 all of this will be Ok (i have 2 OS's) than i installed the drivers again but on win98, Now Insert The cd and Installation launches (:D)
Than i download Registration Keys from the internet ( i had to), Restarted, Now all works fine on windows 98!!
i have learned how to create mixer settings and all this shit, also worked with some of Fabulious Synths of the pulsar, amazed by sound, feeling good

The problem i have : i HATE working on win98, actually i can't.
i feel like it's using 10% of my Computer,
im full of blue Screens, Memory leakage, Programs Stuck..
it's a nightmare..
and im too much afraid of installing new OS now, such as XP or millenium

Can anyone TRY and tell me what to do that can POSSIBLY solve my provlems with win2k??

Thanks alot for reading this boring post..

dear YAT.
i've not tried this, but i'm 99% sure that if you read README.txt or INSTALL.txt or other documentation from the Pulsar CD and llok into "troubleshooting" section,
you'll find out what is the problem.

i suspect you didn't install some required software for the installer (Setup.exe) and this is why it didn't open windows of normal installer.
another trouble can be full Temporary directory or unsuccessfull attempts remainers in that temp directory.
do a disk cleanup, and read the installation notes, and you will see Pulsar works....
this is what is required from the site:
Luna II, PowerSampler II, Pulsar II, PowerPulsar, SCOPE /SP
PC: 400 MHz Prozessor, 128 MB RAM, Windows 95/98/2000/XP
Mac: G3 B/W, 400 MHz, 128 MB RAM, MacOS 8.6 bis 9.2
VST-kompatible Recording-Software
do u have them all ?

well, you´re definately not the first one to have these problems.
pulsar seems to be a very complicated card for nt systems to run. my recommendation is to check the user forum on the creamware page. i also strongly suggest using win xp or if this is unsuccesful ye good olde win 98
although xp should do it. if you are trying pulsar on a multiprocessor machine my only question is why? btw i have pulsar 1 + powersampler and they work fine after hours of nerding around so good luck not a card for beginners

Once i have some problems too, i think you should speak with the store where you buy it, and ask them for help, they should be able to give you help with it cos this is not a usual sound card even the price is not usual!!!!
My dealer even told me to get my computer there that he will configure everything for me so......

Hey guys,

I've used my Creamware Pulsar II with my Mac G4 for a very long time now. I've decided today to put it on my new PC system which is currently running Windows Xp Home SP 1. I've had trouble locating the driver needed to install the card. It doesn't appear to be on the CD and when I run the Setup CD, it says "Windows 95/98 Installer. Cannot install on NT system", or something to that effect.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
