hello everyone...
i need your help. i'm using an rme fireface 400. someone want to sell me in very good price a creamware pulsar 2, and i want it for its dsp work which can help me alot ( i think)
my questions
1) can i work with the fireface as the soundcard while i use the pulsar for its plugs and vst's?
2) can i use both cards inputs\outputs at the same time (he has the luna box with it)?
3) what do you say about this card plugs? is it still good comparing for todays vst's?

hi assaf,
you can put the pulsar in an other computer and via spdif connect it to your project/fireface. then you can use both at the same time.
two soundcards in one computer, one being a pulsar. i would certainly not.
from what i remember, when my pulsar was working, the sidechaincompressor was supernice, also psyQ (some kind of transient plug) and optimaster are high quality plugs and the modulars like flexor are also recommended by some people.
do some research before you buy another computer if thats your thing. not every motherboard is working well together with pulsar.

if i install the pulsar on my pc with the fireface, and connect the pulsar with midi and analog to my fireface it should work no? i understand that in this situation there is no clock sync problems, unlike the adat connection, than i have to put the pulsar as the master ( which i dont want)... is that right?is it worth to use the pulsar like an external synth?
