i agree with the opinion that people who think that you can't experience trance without drugs are twits but maybe seeing such movie will show it in some different way. maybe.
besides -- i need to go out some more :| im freaking out in here.

Great movie IMO.
True, all this drug-trance-talk is bullshit, but I think this movie showed a unique perspective of 1998-1999.
With all the peace talks,the bombings,the violence, suddenly you see ppl talk differently, peacefully, etc.
I think somebody showed film parties today (good ones), and do a documentry about it 
and Lyri, next time

This movie is not stupid and not crap. It's just the truth, or more rightly, the part of the truth that was willing to talk the camera. The rest of the people (including myself, I was there when they filmed and you can even see me dancing in the movie) just chose not to talk to the camera because of what was going on in that time here- we were afraid to be seen on TV associated with trance, plain and simple.
So the people who were left to talk to the camera are the one who speak there, and it's still the story just as it was in that time in their eyes. Not very deep most of the time, but there are some nice things said.
This movie shows 2 very important things:
1. the fact that there were people here who wanted to live differently (and there were many of them as you can see from the demonstration footage).
2. the fact that the system (police, parliament etc. etc.) did everything they could not to let them do it (and used every possible means to do that, as you can see from the horrible secne of police hitting people and using horrible violence on people who just wanted to dance- still gives me the creaps just to remember this one- and the many others I saw in real life).
It's also a good story and a good documentary about few people in Israel in 97-98. There's a reason it won prizes and was shown in quite a few film festivals around the world.
As for trance and drugs- Isri, the director, obviously thinks they are unseperable (and he was one of the first people to party, here in Israel)- I disagree, from my own personal experience, but that does not change the fact that a lot of other agree with him- no reason to get all worked up about that. Each person is entitled to his own opinion and experience.

if u like the movie "fear and loath in las vegas" u probably notice in the end that they talk about timothy liry , and how wrong it was from his side to get peaple to think they can get peace & love for 5$ a hit.
and yet.. those 2 bimbo's (imo) cracked me up when i saw it
